ডেস্কটপে ব্যবহারের জন্য কিনেছিলাম, যেহেতু রাউটার থেকে পিসি পর্যন্ত তার টেনে আনা সম্ভব ছিল না। তো মাসখানেক ব্যবহারের পর রিভিউ হল..
ল্যাপটপ, স্মার্টফোনের ডিফল্ট নেটওয়ার্ক কার্ড বা আইসি'র চেয়েও এটা দুর্বল।
রাউটার (tp-link C60, C64) থেকে দুই রুম পরের দূরত্বের যে জায়গায় ল্যাপটপ আর স্মার্টফোন উভয় ব্যান্ডে প্রায় পুরো স্পিড (25Mbps) টানতে পারে এক বা দুই দাগ সিগন্যালে, সেখানে এই অ্যাডাপ্টার দুই দাগ সিগন্যাল পেলেও কানেক্ট হইতেই হয়রান হয়ে যায়।
আর স্পিড সর্বোচ্চ অর্ধেক অর্থাৎ 10-12Mbps এর বেশি টানতে পারে না।
যদি একই বা পাশের রুমে রাউটার থাকে, তাহলে ঠিকঠাক স্পিড পাওয়া যাবে।
তাছাড়া ভালোই গরম হয়।
সুতরাং আমার উপলব্ধি হল আর কিছু টাকা বাড়িয়ে এক্সটার্নাল অ্যান্টেনা সহ ওয়াইফাই অ্যাডাপ্টার নিলেই বোধহয় ভালো করতাম!
Ryans provided good customer support, but unfortunately I learned the rt8812bu chipset is bad for compatibility, and would not work when I tried realtech does not update their firmware accordingly and for linux users it is a shame, for anyone buying usb wifi adapter for linux use case, search for wifi adapters with mediatek chipsets
