What is Face Detection?

Face detection is a technology used in image and video analysis to automatically detect and locate human faces in an image or video frame.

It works by using algorithms to analyze the visual features of the image, such as color and contrast, to identify areas that are likely to contain a face. Once a face is detected, the algorithm can then perform further analysis, such as identifying specific facial features, recognizing the person's identity, or tracking the movement of the face within the image or video.
