What is G-Sync?
G-Sync is a technology developed by NVIDIA designed to eliminate screen tearing and reduce stuttering in games by synchronizing the refresh rate of your monitor with the frame rate of your graphics card. This is particularly useful in scenarios where the frame rate fluctuates, as it ensures that the monitor displays frames in sync with what the GPU is outputting, resulting in smoother gameplay.
Traditional monitors have a fixed refresh rate (like 60Hz, 120Hz, or 144Hz), and if the frame rate of the game doesn’t match up perfectly with this refresh rate, you can experience screen tearing, where parts of multiple frames are shown on the screen simultaneously. G-Sync helps to address this by dynamically adjusting the monitor's refresh rate to match the frame rate being produced by the GPU, thus reducing tearing and stuttering and improving the overall gaming experience.
