What is LAN Port?
A LAN port, short for Local Area Network port, is a networking port on a device, such as a router, switch, or computer, that is designed to connect to a local area network (LAN).
LAN ports are used to connect devices within a network to each other, allowing them to communicate and share resources such as files, printers, and internet access. LAN ports are typically numbered and labeled, and are often located in a cluster on the back of a device. LAN ports typically use an RJ-45 connector and support Ethernet-based network connections. To use a LAN port, you typically need to connect an Ethernet cable from the port on your device to the LAN port on another device, such as a computer or another router.
